May 26, 2014

Our combined Special and Annual General Meeting was held on April 25, 2014. We are happy to announce the unanimous approval of the changes to our by-laws under the new Not-for-Profit Corporations Act. We also successfully elected the board of directors for 2014/15 which includes three new board members. We are thrilled to have them on board and we are looking forward to an exciting year. You will find more information about our new board members and the AGM event photos in the article listed below.

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Mr. Sean Muggah for the support of our Chamber, where he served 8 years as Director and Corporate Secretary. Sean is partner at the law firm Borden Ladner Gervais and will remain an adviser to our board of directors.

In this newsletter, we also added a new category: ENTREPRENEUR OF THE MONTH! Our member Sandra Phillips came up with the idea to interview selected members of our Chamber on a regular basis. If you would like to get portrayed in our e-newsletter, please write us an email.

Enjoy the reading.

Sincerely Yours,

Vince Sciamanna
