We hope that you had a fantastic start to the New Year. 
At the chamber we had a busy January and have lined up a number of very interesting networking opportunities. In this Newsletter we have them all listed in the event section. Please note that the first interesting event is scheduled for Monday. 
The date for our annual general meeting has also been set: Thursday, April 28th, lunch event. We kindly ask you to mark it in your calendar. The formal invitation will be sent out in March to all paid up members. Annual membership invoices are scheduled to be sent out in the middle of February and we thank you in advance for supporting the chamber by renewing your membership.

We hope to see you at one or all of the events listed below.

This free tradeshow brings together various governments, departments and non-profit organizations that support small businesses in B.C.. Unfortunately, the event seems to be sold out.

February 24-25, 2016: Buildex Vancouver

Buildex Vancouver is Western Canada's largest tradeshow and conference for the Construction, Renovation, Architecture, Interior Desidn and Property Management industries. With over 600 exhibits, and more than 50 educational seminars, Buildex attracts over 13,500 attendees annually.

March 2-4, 2016: Swiss Pavilion at GLOBE 2016

Switzerland will be present at the GLOBE 2016 with a Swiss Pavilion organized by T-Link and swisscleantech, with 6 exhibiting companies and a delegation of more than 15 participants. The Swiss Pavillion and related business development activities are realized in close collaboration with the Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA), Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE), Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI), the Swiss representations in Canada (Consulate General of Switzerland in Vancouver, Swiss Business Hub Canada) and SCCC.
Join the Swiss delegation on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 5pm for the PowerHour, the official Swiss Networking Apero on the main GLOBE expo floor.

SCCC Board Member Participates in Ride to Conquer Cancer

"We often think this won't happen to us, but I have been proven wrong." Michael Merkli, one of our valuable board members committed to ride 200km from Seattle to Vancouver and raise $2,500 to support the BC Cancer Foundation, after more than one member of his family has been touched by cancer in the past few years. Cancer research still needs a lot of time and money - any amount donated is greatly appreciated and can make a difference.
