Even though we weren’t able to meet in person for our traditional Fondue Night, the SCCC members found a way to stay connected while enjoying a Swiss Speciality at the same time.
Every year in January we usually invite SCCC members and friends to our very popular Fondue Night, hosted in collaboration with the Swiss Canadian Mountain Range Association. Usually, more than 80 people come together at the cozy chalet in Coquitlam to share the love for one of the most beloved Swiss dishes. After a virtual 2020, we decided to celebrate our Fondue Night 2021 a little bit differently.
We reached out to our wonderful Swiss Canadian community and encouraged them to enjoy a nice Fondue or Raclette from Jan 29-31 with their household bubble, and send us their pictures and stories.
We loved seeing your cheese nights with your bubble! A big thank you to everyone who shared and tagged us in pictures. We received several pictures from the Lower Mainland and even one out of the heart of Engadin in Switzerland.
We can’t wait to meet for the 2022 edition in a hopefully covid-free world.
