First hybrid Annual General Meeting 2022

Be it from home, from the office, from Alberta or on site – many roads lead to Rome or, in our case, to the SCCC AGM 2022. On April 27, 2022, the Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce successfully hosted its first hybrid Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The pandemic has changed the way we work and while it had its negative aspects, it also introduced us to some great new ways of working. Hybrid working is the word of the day and there is great demand for such working models, as they allow people to be more flexible. As a result, the SCCC decided to hold this year’s Annual General Meeting in person on-site at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and virtually on the Microsoft Teams platform. This allowed a total of 24 interested attendees to participate and connect. We really enjoyed seeing so many of you whether it was in person or online.

The Board of Directors was very pleased to inform the members about the SCCC activities in the previous year. In case you missed the meeting, we invite you to download the President’s Report 2022.

Thank you, Vince Sciamanna!

In 2020, Vince Sciamanna stepped down as President of the SCCC and has continued to actively support the Chamber as a Director. Now Vince has decided to leave the SCCC Board as a Director and to continue to support the Chamber with his expertise as an Advisor.

We are extremely grateful for your many years of support and work you have done for the SCCC and looking forward on what’s to come!
