Recap of our Annual General Meeting on May 7th!

The Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its Annual General Meeting, an event uniting our esteemed board of directors and valued members, both in-person at Borden Ladner Gervais in downtown Vancouver, BC, and virtually via Microsoft Teams. This gathering served as a crucial platform for reviewing and finalizing the fiscal year 2023, where discussions ranged from organizational matters to financial insights, showcasing our commitment to transparency and progress.

We are excited to introduce and extend a warm welcome to our four new Directors, each bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge, and fresh perspectives to our dynamic chamber:

🤝 Les Honywill:
A seasoned professional with diverse expertise from the Chamber of Commerce in China and as an Associate at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG), Les Honywill joins us with a Doctor of Law (JD/Law) from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Science in Political Science focused on International Relations from Leiden University. Les’s insights are poised to enrich our chamber’s endeavors significantly.

🤝 Diana Haight Arn, MBA:
Bringing a strong connection to Switzerland and a passion for empowering women in business, Diana Arn steps into her role with valuable expertise from her time as President at SBO Distributors Ltd – SWISSBO, coupled with an Executive MBA from the prestigious Ivey Business School at Western University.

🤝 Thomas Andrey:
Embracing new heights of leadership, Thomas Andrey joins us with extensive experience as the Regional Sales Manager at Garaventa Lift, boasting a Master of Arts (MA) in Management from Université de Fribourg. His strategic vision and commitment to excellence are invaluable assets to our chamber.

🤝 Stephan Soltermann:
With a background navigating complex energy systems at FortisBC and earning a Post Graduate Diploma of Advanced Studies in General Management and Business Administration from the esteemed University of St. Gallen, Stephan Soltermann brings a wealth of practical experience to our table as our incoming Director.

As we welcome our new Directors, we also bid farewell and extend heartfelt thanks to departing members for their hard work and dedication throughout the past years:
